We want our playgrounds !

The Indians system of education was respected all over the world , once upon a time ! Educationists , Doctors , Engineers , Economists & so many others from various disciplines from India who went and settled abroad made a name for themselves and also made the country proud . We had some premiere institutions in India from where , when the students graduated or post graduated , they were considered the creme de la creme and companies and countries all over the world never gave a second thought to employing them . What went wrong ? The ever increasing population , hence the competition probably made the people loose faith in the good old schools . More and more people took their children out of the schools and put them in competition tutorials who mushroomed like anything in the past few years . In doing so , the parents only concentrated on getting their child into a professional college but they did not realise that they killed the child in that child . Robots were borne who were programmed to study -eat -study - eat -sleep . Repeat cycle! Play grounds were removed from their lives . Even the schools found them useless , found a better option , make more classrooms , bring in more robots hence more money . The schools where the children not only learnt their 3 R's , but learnt sports & sportsman spirit , music & culture , dramatics & debating , making  friends &  enemies and making friends out of enemies , all went into redundancy . Now we have these tutorials who produce competitors . They teach our children that the other student next to him is his competitor and he is supposed to score more than him , otherwise his section will be changed to an inferior one ..... result .... no friendship , mental stress , insomnia , hypertension , diabetes . But the child somehow makes it to a professional college . Ends have justified the means !
Now, I would be scared to be treated by a doctor who has no heart . I wont want an architect to design my home if he has no human feelings  . Why has the governance and administration stood aside as a silent spectator or should I say behind the curtain prompter ? Has the situation gone beyond redemption . Can't we all stand up and shout that we want our Playgrounds , Music classes , Hobby classes ..... we want to make friends for life !

Thankyou Modiji for scaring me

The whole demonetisation chutzpah has scared not just me but practically the whole country . The Indian society which was used to keeping a ready cash , some - less , some - more ,at hand is suddenly scared to keep that, even  for an emergency . The common man is scared to keep the black money or gold although it is difficult to define black money in Indian scenario . Now that is a different issue altogether . I personally , am confused as to whether it has been a good move as there are people who give valid reasons in favour of the move . And there are equally intelligent people who tell that it is a big mistake . I am inclined to feel that it was a necessary move but it's implementation was faulty . We are scared but we need to be scared a bit more .
We need to be scared of bribing and taking bribes . We need to be scared of dishonesty in our dealings . We need to be scared of breaking social rules . Scared we should be , of stealing electricity . We should be scared of breaking traffic rules , jumping red lights , throwing banana and peanut peels out of our luxury car windows . We should think twice before we litter , or pollute our environs . We should be scared of disrespecting our elders, women , cildren and teachers . The leaders should be scared of not fulfilling their promises to the voters . The officials should be scared not to complete their duties . Scared we should be of over populating our country and scared we should be of asking unjustly for easy way out through reservations .
Some of my friends said how can I expect the govt to bring in all the changes , it has to be the people who should change . Here , I feel the good old saying of sparing the rod and spoiling the child holds good . See how the scare of a penalty has everybody fishing out cash from every nook and cranny . So if a punishment is levied strictly to people not abiding by the rules of the land , they will all fall in line . If a common man is discilined and has national character , Good Days will definitely come !
